BlackBerry had hinted BlackBerry Messenger ( BBM ) will be present on the PC desktop. At the BlackBerry Jam Asia 2013, the BlackBerry has even demonstrated the BBM application that runs on Windows 7-based computer.
However, later denied BlackBerry, BBM will be launched on the PC platform.
"We do not promise anything about the fuel on the desktop," Vice President Chris BlackBerry Handheld Application Platforms Chris Smith said, in an interview with KompasTekno, Thursday ( 09/26/2013 ).
Chris insists, Fuel demo that was shown on the desktop is just a concept. BlackBerry just wanted to show the ability of the links that can deliver BlackBerry BBM application on a desktop PC, the safe path and the same interface as fuel in mobile devices.
The most important of the fuel in the desktop demo, according to Chris, developers who attended the event which was held in Hong Kong to see the capabilities of the USB connectivity, WiFi, and BlackBerry Link. Expected in the future, developers can create BlackBerry applications that take advantage of these features.

BBM application on Desktop PC that had the demo is not really a stand-alone application.
How it works a little differently than the BBM Android and iPhone. In order for the application to work and used to chat, BBM for Desktop must be connected to the phone via BlackBerry Bridge Windows Apps.
The workings of this desktop is actually fuel for fuel like the BlackBerry Playbook tablet. So , the phone will display fuel in-mirror ( projected ) to a desktop computer via USB or WiFi. Furthermore , users can send and receive messages on the computer desktop.
Seen in the demo, not just fuel for the desktop can be used to send text only. Photos, files, and other documents contained in the PC can be sent through the BBM application.
