Although nearly 12 years old, Windows XP operating system is still widely used around the world. In fact, according to data from StatCounter cited Neowin, older OS will still dominate the operating system market in eight countries.

The eight countries are China where the share of the Windows XP operating system by 54.79 percent, and Morocco (44.66 percent), Cuba (52.93 percent), Cook Islands (72.14 percent), Norfolk Island (70, 18 percent), North Korea (61.47 percent), Eritrea (58.25 percent), and Vietnam (44.33 percent).

StatCounter retrieve data from 3 million websites around the world who are members of the network based on the number of unique page views. Data on the operating system market share this time obtained in the period August-September 2013.

Which is now the largest state population is still keen to Windows XP is China, possibly because the operating system is much hijacked there. In January 2011, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer had said that nine out of ten copies of Windows XP which is circulated an illegal version.

In fact, on April 8, 2014, Microsoft will stop all forms of support for Windows XP, including all kinds of patches and security updates that make the OS vulnerable to cyber attacks.
