Windows RT abandoned Microsoft partners

Soon Microsoft will acquire 100 percent of the market share of Windows RT. But it was not good news for the software giant.
The reason , Microsoft has now become the only manufacturer that make devices with the operating system ( Surface ) after reportedly stopped producing tablet Dell XPS 10 Windows -based RT.

As reported by Business Insider, Dell, the computer manufacturer from the United States, has not announced plans to re-create the Windows RT gadgets in the future.

Dell is the latest to give up Windows RT, followed by the other Microsoft partners, namely Samsung, Lenovo, HTC, Asus, and Acer who had already stopped production devices with the operating system.

Windows RT itself is a variant of Windows 8 is designed specifically for tablets with ARM processors. The problem is, these platforms lack of support application developers and consumers demand less.

Microsoft has suffered a loss of 900 million dollars due to stock Surface tablet that has not been sold. The company then slashed the price of the Surface of 400 U.S. dollars to 350 U.S. dollars in order to boost sales.

Nevertheless, group executive vice president of Microsoft's development tools Julie Larson-Green said the company has not given up the Windows RT. Monday ( 09/23/2013 ) then, Microsoft has just unveiled the successor to the Surface, the Surface 2 tablet that carries the Windows operating system RT 8.1.
